Bruce was born in 1949 in Schenectady, NY. The son of Ralph Edward Button and Mildred Davis Button, Bruce had a deep love for all things racing. He graduated in 1967 from from Mount Pleasant High School and went on to attend Albany Business College. After completing his Associates Degree there, he then attended Dale Carnegie Leadership School. An overachiever, he completed all of this while serving our Country in the United States Army Reserves.
In 1970 he met the love of his life, Karen Larsen and they were married. Racing continued to be his passion and he accomplished races at Albany, Saratoga and Lebanon Valley, just to name a few. They had two sons, Brian and Greg, then moved to Florida in 1982 where he worked in the RV Industry.
Bruce is preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Button, Jr and son, Greg Button. He leaves behind his sister Barbara Button Mereness, Schenectady, loving son, Brian G. Button, Clermont, one granddaughter and one great grandson.
No services will be held, but in lieu of any flowers, a donation to the Mike Conley Hospice House is requested.
