Bonnie McGuire, March 27, 1949 - June 27, 2017
Bonnie is now at peace and escaping the bonds of the cancer that she fought for over 8 years. She fought it with a bravery that rivals the saints and to all outward appearances she was always the same loving, happy wonderful woman giving of herself to her family, friends and business associates.
Bonnie was born in Hanover County, North Carolina in 1949. At a very early age, she moved with her parents, Marvin Wilson and Mary Catterton Wilson to North Miami where she spent her school years along with her brother, Mark Wilson. She graduated from North Miami Senior High School and was married shortly after graduation. Bonnie is the mother of two loving daughters, Lynn Enos (Scott) and Laurie Frederick (Allen), who live in the Central Florida area.
Bonnie moved to Clermont in the mid 1970's and entered the work and social world of Central Florida. She was highly involved in the community with membership on a number of boards and organizations. Through her employment, she was on the South Lake Chamber of Commerce Board and had served on the Clermont Zoning Board earlier.
Her social and community involvement also included membership in Beta Theta, a philanthropic sorority where she served as president and other offices in the organization.
Bonnie was a marvelous person and everyone that met her loved her enthusiasm, friendliness and her very outgoing personality. She was also a top notch Gator fan and a season ticket holder to the Gator football games , which she enjoyed attending.
Bonnie is survived by her loving and devoted husband, John (Skip) McGuire; her father, Marvin Wilson; two daughters: Lynn and Laurie and brother Mark Wilson (Valery). They will miss her every minute of every day.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made through Bonnie's sorority, ESA, to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in memory of Bonnie. Make checks payable to "St. Jude's Research Hospital". In the memo line on the check write, "Bonnie McGuire Memorial" and the check can be mailed to:
