IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bonne Anne
Klinger
February 12, 1942 – January 1, 2019
Bonne Anne Klinger, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and dear friend, passed away on Tuesday, January 1, 2019 after a brief fight with an aggressive form of cancer. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert Scott Klinger, who died in 2012. She is survived by her two sons Matthew and Michael, their wives/partners Michelle and Kassandra, and her four grandsons Andrew, Ryan, Alexander, and Greyson. She is also survived by her sister-in-law, Laura, and Laura's husband Kurt as well as many dear friends in the Summit Greens Community.
Bonne was born on February 12, 1942 outside Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She earned a degree in education from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. After graduating, she taught 7 th and 8 th grade English in a Pittsburgh suburb where she met the love of her life, Scott. They married on December 17, 1966 and together raised their family, first in Pittsburgh and then in a suburb of Philadelphia. Bonne was devoted to her family, navigating regular school commitments, driving countless car pools to sporting events (although never in the snow), and supporting her husband at every turn. After her boys finished middle school, Bonne returned to work in retail before she and Scott retired to Florida in 2001.
While in Florida, Bonne and Scott made wonderful friends in their community and supported countless local causes. They developed a passion for cruising around the Caribbean islands and loved exploring local restaurants with their friends. Bonne was an active member and supporter of the Summit Greens Women's Club and enjoyed the many friendships she developed in the organization. Nothing made her happier than spending time with her four grandsons, patiently reading books, playing games, cheering them on in sports, and generally spoiling them as often as she could. She will be remembered for her adventurous spirit, deep friendship, and caring nature. Mass of the Resurrection will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (720 12 th St.) in Clermont, FL at 1:00 PM on Friday, January 4 followed by a memorial gathering at the Sanctuary Ridge Golf Club (2601 Diamond Club Dr.). In lieu of flowers, the family requests making a donation to the Cornerstone Hospice Foundation – 2445 Lane Park Rd, Tavares, FL 32778 or https://web.cshospice.org/foundation/giving .
