Obituary
Bobby J. (Bob) Russell, Age 83, of Clermont, Florida, passed away Monday, June 27, 2016.
Bob was born in Franklin, Kentucky. He is survived by his wife Jerrie of 58 years, son Tim Russell and daughter-in-law Janet, daughter Paula Wheeler and son-in-law Kelly, Grandsons Stephen, Jordan, Brantley, Jeremy, Justin and Nicholas. Granddaughter Heather and Great Grandaughter Alicia. Nieces Judy and Brenda and Nephews Ken, Darrell and Larry. Bob was a loving father and husband. He enjoyed teaching and helping others.
As a member of the military he served in the United States Air Force during the Korean Conflict.
He supported the local commerce as a small business owner and served as a volunteer with the local Fire Department.
As a member of the Church, Bob served as an Administrative Assistant, Deacon, Christian Education Director, Royal Ranger Commander, Sunday School Teacher, and Superintendent.
In recent years, he retired from Disney having worked there 20 years until 1999.
Bob was loved by many and will forever live in the hearts of all the lives he touched. We thank God for the gift of his life and the blessing of the time we spent with him.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Willie and Lillie Young, sister Thelma and brother J.L.
Bob will be laid to rest in a private service at Oak Hill Cemetery. A Celebration of Bob's life will be held on Saturday, July 9th, 2016, at 11:00 AM at Gateway Church in Clermont. Flowers or a memorial donation may be made to Gateway Church Missions Program, 15550 County Road 565A, Clermont, FL 34711.
