IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Bobbie Jean

May 21, 1950 – May 20, 2025
Bobbie Jean Roberts, beloved Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, Nana, Aunt, Cousin, and
Friend, passed away peacefully on May 20, 2025, in Clermont, Florida, one day shy of her
75th birthday.
Born on May 21, 1950, in Lubbock, Texas, Bobbie was the daughter of the late Ben Sam
Thompson and Zelma Oleta Johnson. She carried with her a deep love for family and the
outdoors, a passion that shaped her life and touched the hearts of all who knew her.
Bobbie attended high school at Webster High School in Tulsa, Oklahoma, where she later
married her first husband, Gary Woodward, she welcomed her two eldest children, Kim
and Mike. As a devoted mother Bobbie also worked as an executive assistant to the vice
president of the Williams Company and held a position at Tulsa Community College in
Tulsa, Oklahoma.
In 1982, she married the love of her life, the late Roy Richard "Rick" Roberts. Together, they
raised two more children, Kristen and Ricky Roberts, while building a life full of love,
adventure, and purpose in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
In 1997, the Roberts family relocated to Clermont, Florida, to support Rick in continuing
the family motorhome business, originally based in Tulsa. Later, in 2005, Bobbie and Rick
co-founded a blueprinting business in Clermont, becoming active and cherished members
of the local community.
Bobbie's love for animals led her to a second calling as a dog trainer. She taught classes at
the Orlando Dog Training Club and traveled to competitions with the family's beloved
boxers. Her deep connection with animals was just one of the many ways she shared her
warmth and compassion.
She had a gift for creating a welcoming home, a sanctuary filled with love, beauty, and her
signature holiday decorations. Every visit to Bobbie's home meant comfort, care, and a
touch of magic.
Gentle and strong, easy-going yet deeply passionate, Bobbie was a woman of quiet
strength, unwavering love, and deep resilience. Her legacy lives on in the countless
memories she created with those fortunate enough to know her.
Bobbie is preceded in death by her husband, Rick Roberts, and her siblings Novel
Thompson, David Thompson, and Donald Thompson. She is survived by her children: Kim
Woodward Moran, Mike Woodward, Kristen Roberts, and Richard Roberts; her 9
grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; and her siblings Ann Voss and Dan Thompson.
She also leaves behind many beloved nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

residence.
Let us gather to reflect on the joy, strength, and love Bobbie brought into our lives — and to
carry those memories forward with gratitude and grace. Thank you for your continued
