Bishop Nyle T. Vernon, 81, of Minneola, FL, passed away peacefully on November 25, 2025. He was a retired Bishop with the Church of God of Prophecy and a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. Nyle was ordained as a Minister in 2001, and served the Oviedo Church of God of Prophecy until his retirement in 2014 due to health reasons. He was known for his strong work ethic, direct approach, and his steady commitment to his faith and community.
Nyle was married to his soulmate, Trish Vernon, for 54 years. At the time of his passing, he was engaged to Deloris Peak, of Virginia. He is survived by his children, Vonda Priest, Bishop Troy and his wife Kathy Vernon, and Renee and her husband Pastor Devlin Campsall. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Brandi, Stephen, and Jojo Foster, Reagan and his wife Haylee Vernon, Maggie and Rachel Vernon, Trevor and his wife Harlee Frazier, Caleb and his wife Gracie Frazier, and Arianna Campsall, his brother, Gary Vernon and his wife Alma, sister-in-law, Cheryl Vernon as well as his great grandchildren, Reilly, Makenzi, and DellaKay.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Trish Vernon, his grandparents, Bishop W. M. and Vashti Lowman, his parents, Bishop Horace and Virginia Vernon, his brothers, Willie Edward and Donald Vernon, and his grandson, Scotty Frazier.
A viewing will be held at Becker Funeral Home on Sunday, December 7 from 5 to 8 pm. Funeral services will be Monday, December 8 at 11 am at the funeral home. Nyle Vernon will be remembered for his commitment to his faith, his drive to overcome challenges, and his dedication to his family.
