Beverly Mary Garrow

Beverly M (Bev) Garrow, Born Beverly VanDenWyMelenberg passed away peacefully in her home in Clermont Florida, March 1, 2023.

She was born to parents Aloysius (Al) and Marie (née:Drace VanDenWyMelenberg in Green Bay Wisconsin. She graduated from St Joseph Academy, Green Bay, followed by Francis Harrington School of Interior Design.

She eventually lived in New London Wisconsin, where her parents owned and operated Van's Bowling Alley for 20 years. It was there she met her husband Harold (Spike) Garrow. They were married in 1946. They eventually moved to Appleton, Wisconsin where she was a loving devoted mother of eight children. In 1973, her husband "Spike" suffered a tragic accident which left him a quadriplegic for 23 years. Bev took on the role of his sole caregiver. After "Spike" passed away in 1996, Bev moved to the community of Kings Ridge, in Clermont Florida. She became involved in many clubs in the community and formed lasting friendships there. Up to age 93, she was an avid line dancer. She always took pride in being "dressed up" wherever she went. She believed staying busy was the key to a long, happy life. Bev was vibrant, energetic and spirited all of her 95 years.

She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Clermont.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Ken (June), Madison WI, Brother and Sister in-laws: George and Lila Garrow, Missouri, Paul and Marie Knapstein, Florida, Dr, William and Vita Grimes, Appleton WI, Cy and Mary Garrow, Brillion WI, Lewis and Opal Garrow, Appleton WI.

Also, her grandson Jeremy "Chip" Garrow.

She is survived by eight children, William(Woody) and Mary Beth, Winneconne WI, Ann and Lynn Bazile, Leesburg FL, John (Woody) and Cindy Garrow, Appleton WI, Bob and MaryAnn Zoesch Garrow, Nekoosa Wi, Jim and Gail Garrow, Appleton WI, Andy and Cindy Garrow, Appleton WI, Steve (Beav) and Jane Garrow, Appleton WI, Amy Garrow and Walker Davis, Clermont FL.

She is also survived by 30 grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A Celebration of her life will be held at a later date in Appleton WI.
