Obituary

Beverlee A. Deardorff, 89, passed away peacefully on June 25, 2026 surrounded by her family in Clermont, Florida. She was born on July 9, 1936 in Brooksville, IN to Peter and Geraldine (Balmain) Fritz. Beverlee attended Richmond High School and graduated class of 1955. She worked at Purdue University in a secretarial position and married her high school sweetheart, Frank Deardorff, June 19, 1955. They enjoyed 62 beautiful years together. While raising their children and moving coast to coast, Beverlee continued her aspirations for modeling along with instructing young lady’s etiquette and charm. Beverlee’s desire to make the world a better place for those less fortunate was her biggest attribute. She served as Auxiliary President, and Trustee for the Somerset Medical Center, which is now known as Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Somerset. She was the recipient of the Women of Year Award for her outstanding accomplishments at the Medical Center for her volunteerism and time dedicated for charitable events. Some of her other volunteer organizations included Alzheimer’s, Fish and various food pantries.

Beverlee loved traveling and has had the pleasure of visiting all seven continents with her husband. She enjoyed playing tennis, tried to enjoy golf, reveled in bridge, and loved to shop! While her most treasured time was with her family.

She is survived by daughter, Julie Bridges and Gregg Frizen of Clermont, FL; son, Frank W. Deardorff II and wife, Rene’e of Toms River, NJ; loving grandchildren Tamara, Tyler, Marissa, Alexander, Meagan, Michelle and Jacqueline; adoring great-grandchildren Daisy and Cooper; brother-in law, Herb Kaeuper of Highland Village, Texas along with many nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly. Beverlee was preceded in death by her husband, Frank Deardorff, and sister, Jill Kaeuper.

A private burial will be held at Dallas/Ft. Worth National Cemetery.

Beverlee’s preference for donations are Cornerstone Hospice of Clermont, Florida and Alzheimer’s.
