Betty Jean Minor, 72, Clermont, passed away unexpectedly on January 17,

2011 at South Lake Hospital. She was born May 6, 1938 in Franklin, NC

daughter of the late Luther Carl Holloway & Irene Carpenter Holloway

and was a Florida resident since 1942. On June 7, 1959 She was united

in marriage to John Thomas Minor, Jr. in Ocoee. She was a member of

First United Methodist Church of Clermont & Alpha Eta Sorority. She was

a homemaker & a loving & devoted wife, mother & grandmother. She was

preceded in death by her mother-in-law Nell Minor on January 2, 2011 &

niece Kellie Ison in 1997. Surviving is her husband John; son John T.

"Tom" Minor, III and his wife Lori; grandchildren Christian, Kirby,

Lindsay, Julian, Avery & Ivy all of Clermont; siblings Doris Braswell &

Jo Anderson both of Winter Garden; Jerome (Jean) Holloway, Highlands.

TX; Pat (Gary Haas) Breeze, Ocoee & Skip Holloway, Clermont & nieces &

nephews.



The funeral service for Betty Jean Minor will be held at 3:30 PM on Thursday, January 20, 2011 at First United Methodist Church in Clermont. Reverend Gary Edwards will officiate. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church. Entombment will be private at Woodlawn Memorial Park. The family suggests memorial contributions in her name to the Mike Conley Hospice House.
