Bessie Morrison Herndon, 84, Orlando, passed away September 16, 2012 at the Mike Conley Hospice House in Clermont. She was born June 8, 1928 in Lenna, OK daughter of Muskogeee Creek Nation Native American Indian parents Mannie Morrison & Julia Hortense Morrison and was a local resident since 1933 & was raised in Minneola. She was a homemaker & member of Bread of Life Tabernacle in Groveland. She was preceded in death by her husband Reverend Julian Herndon in 1993 & by nine siblings. Surviving are her children William Robert (Shelly) Warren, Edward Wesley (Jennifer) Herndon & Stuart Allen Herndon all of Groveland; David Carlos (Susan) Herndon, St. Augustine; Deborah Herndon Mitchell, DeLand & Anna Herndon (Ray) York, Orlando; 14 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren & sister Lois Keene, Charlotte, NC.







The funeral service for Bessie Herndon will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, September 21, 2012 in the Becker Chapel. Reverend Loyce Rowland will officiate.
