Bert Allen Lawson, born January 8, 1947 in Lexington, Kentucky joined his son, John, in Heaven on February 19, 2020.  He was also preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Mary Lawson, his brother Delbert Lawson, Jr., and sisters Edna Shupert (William) and Emaline Lawson. He leaves behind his beloved wife, Terry Lawson of Clermont, Florida; daughters Kimberly {John} Maloney of Dawsonville, GA; Carrie Lawson of Jersey City, New Jersey; grandchildren, Mason Maloney, Kennady Mays, Alexia Wehunt, Kaylee Botkins, and Nash Maloney; sister Lillian Newby and several nieces.

He was an all time University of Kentucky fan and loved watching the Cats play.  He also enjoyed spending his retirement as Uber driver.  He was a board member of For The Warriors Foundation and a former member of the North Georgia Chapter Military Officers Association.  He enjoyed spending his free time with his grandchildren and talking about his love for flying his F-4 while serving in the Untied States Air Force.  A Celebration of Life Service will take place at Cornerstone Christian Church, Tuesday, February 25, 2020 at 3:00 pm. Family will receive condolences at 2:00 pm immediately before the service.  In lieu of flowers, the family request donations be made to Brave Beyond The Call, Inc. This organization was very dear to Bert's heart as he was so proud of all it is doing to support veterans.
