Barbara L. Sigmund, 75, of Evart, Michigan passed away on August 30, 2019 in Clermont, Florida due to pancreatic cancer. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday September 14, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 9878 US 10, Evart, Michigan. The family will be available to receive visitors from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Funeral mass will begin at 12:00 PM with a luncheon immediately following in the social hall. An additional memorial service will be held on Sunday, September 15, 2019 at 1:00 PM at Michigan Memorial Park, 32163 West Huron River Drive, Flat Rock, Michigan.

Barb was born on January 26, 1944 in Wyandotte, Michigan to Henry and Ruth Trusewicz. She attended Wyandotte High School and graduated in 1962. After graduation she worked at Wyandotte Industries where she met Kenneth Sigmund. They were married on February 16, 1966. They moved to Evart MI in 1972. Barb worked as a secretary for the Department of Social Services until she retired in 2002. She was a longtime member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Evart, Michigan.

Barb is survived by her sons; Daniel (Cindy) Sigmund and Michael (Lisa) Sigmund, grandchildren; Matthew, Nathan (Jennifer), Lauren, and
Rachel Sigmund, sisters; Lorraine Marshall and Leslie (David) Paciero, brother-in-law Stan Olszowy, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by husband Kenneth Sigmund, her parents; Henry and Ruth Trusewicz, sister Linda Olszowy, and brother-in-law Robert Marshall.

Barb loved to cook, travel, and spend time with friends and family. Her greatest joy was being with her grandchildren, watching their sporting events, dance recitals, and school events, often traveling hundreds of miles to show her love and support..
