Long-time Lake County resident Barbara V. Henigan-Chaffee passed away on December 17th, 2021. She is survived by her Children, Siblings, Niece, Nephew, Great Niece, Great Nephew, Grand Children, Great Grandchildren, and many beloved friends.

Barbara lived a life of service to others and the Lord our God. She was a consumer advocate, a women's prison ministries outreach counselor, and a church missionary volunteer. Her career path was equally varied as a Utility consumer advocate, funeral director, and licensed practical nurse. In each, she was able to minister to the sick and provide grief counseling while spreading the news of our savior to those who needed to hear. One of her many favorites sayings was "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord" which is a paraphrasing of the Bible verse Colossians 2:4.

She will be interred with her pre-decedent husband David at the Florida National Cemetery in Wildwood, FL on December 23, 2021.

By request, there will be no services held and the family will have a small memorial at a later time.
