Barbara Ann Fairchild Esser "Barb" passed away on March 31, 2021. She was born in Flatwoods, Kentucky; the daughter of Fred and Juanita Rae Fairchild. The family, Barb and three siblings, Kennard, Carol,and Dolores moved to Maryland early in her childhood. As a young girl, Barb enjoyed reading, school, and being with family and friends.

Barb attended John Hopkins Nursing School before marrying Glenn Esser in January 1955. Barb and Glenn have three children: William, Brian, and Cheryl. After moving to Missouri, the couple hosted parties, attended gatherings at the club, enjoyed boating and nights out on the town. Glenn and Barb moved to Florida in retirement, where they enjoyed new hobbies and frequent travels across the United States. In her later years, Barb loved to read, do puzzles, and be with family.

Barb is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Glenn Newlin Esser; three children, William Frank Esser (Nancy), Brian Keith Esser (Becky), and Cheryl Esser Nanney (Terry); her beloved grandchildren, Brittany Glenn Nanney (Jeff Horn) and Kyle Robert Nanney; sister Dolores Gayle Garvey (Tom) as well as her many nieces and nephews.  Barb was preceded in death by her parents Fred and Juanita Rae Fairchild, her brother Kennard Farrell Fairchild, and her sister Carol Jean Norwood.
