Barbara, age 90, gracefully passed away at her home in Clermont, Florida on August 28, 2011 with her family at her side. Barb was born in Wurzburg, Germany and met and married Bill, the love of her life, in Frankfurt where he was stationed during the occupation. During their 62 years of marriage Barb loved and lived life to the fullest making a home for her family through the many deployments. Her love of family was the most important thing in her life. She was a valued employee of the JC Penney Company and enjoyed bowling and golfing. Barb was proud of her German heritage and proved that in her kitchen and on the dance floor at the local German Clubs. Barb donated countless hours to the local United Way and the Toledo Autistic Society. When her son was diagnosed as Autistic she worked tirelessly with him both educationally and socially so that he could manage in this world after the Lord called her. Barb is survived by husband Bill and her three children, Marion (Bill) Sukitch , Manuela (David) Withrow and Thomas Candelore. Also surviving are her four grandsons, Michael (Anita) Sukitch, Brian (Francie) Sukitch, Bill (Eileen) Sukitch, Christopher Withrow and 8 Great Grandchildren. She will be missed by all who knew her.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Noon Friday, September 2, 2011 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Clermont. Inurnment will follow at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL. The family suggests in lieu of flowers memorials to Cornerstone Hospice, 2445 Lane Park Rd., Tavares, FL 32778 or the Anne Grady Center, 1525 Eber Rd., Holland, OH 43528.
