Aubrie-Faith Amrhein
August 20 th , 1996 – June 1 st , 2022
Aubrie was gifted in so many areas, such as the arts. Her love and passion for improv and musicals throughout her last year of high school and early college earned her a spot on the team at Rollins College. She had a gift for performing and loved music, including singing. She could frequently be heard singing her heart out in the car with her Dad, friends, loved ones or just around the house. She lit up any room she entered, with her contagious laugh and smile. Her other passions and interests included her love and devotion to family, her boyfriend Michael, animals, kids, board games, anime, and tattoos. Her very first tattoo was in honor or her Mom who passed, a beautiful hummingbird on her foot. She served in many Children's Ministries at various churches throughout her life, most recently at First United Methodist Church of Clermont, FL.
Her battle with a rare blood disorder, Atypical hemolytic uremic syndrome (aHUS) took her to many major hospitals all around the country. Diagnosed at nine months of age, she had her kidneys removed at age 4 and began dialysis treatments until her first kidney transplant around age 8. She became a survivor of multiple transplants, her last being a double transplant of the liver and kidney in 2013 around age 17. Countless battles with infections made her an exception to the rule as she was never supposed to make it beyond the age of 5. A true fighter and survivor, yet never too busy to stop and help somebody else. She cared deeply and loved deeply. She will be missed and remembered by many.
