IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Arvilla Mae
Biller
July 17, 1966 – August 6, 2023
Arvilla "Arvie" (Cross) Biller passed away Sunday, August 6th in Clermont, FL from complications of kidney cancer, taking with her one of the world's brightest lights and biggest smiles.
She was born in 1966 to Marvin and Diane Cross and grew up in Auburn Hills with her three siblings and various pets, including a cat who had the audacity to birth kittens on her bed. She spent many early mornings at swim practice and was known to bust out a perfect butterfly stroke long after graduating from Avondale High School in 1984.
She relocated to Florida in 1995, which sparked her fondness for margaritas, sun tanning, smoked fish dip, and cruises. Her greatest joy came from raising her two children, who she always loved, listened to, and inspired to achieve more for themselves. She was the very best mother, passing along her love of swimming, reality television, and courtroom procedurals to her daughter and of beaches, Christmas lights, and country music to her son.
She was an extremely hard worker in the telecommunications space, including 12 years at Nextel/Sprint in Panama City Beach and 9 years at Disney in Orlando. She overcame many obstacles to advance her career without a college degree and with dyslexia. Recently, she enrolled in Valencia College and was so proud to have earned multiple semesters on the Dean's List. She was proud to see both of her children graduate from UCF.
She was a croissant connoisseur, never met a chocolate dessert she didn't like (unless it had caramel or nuts), and had so many wonderful dreams of travel to Hawaii and of repeat visits to NYC and the Florida Keys, which her children will work hard to fulfill on her behalf. She will be remembered every time they see a Minion cartoon or a rerun of Harrison Ford's Air Force One. Her extensive snowman collection will be lovingly displayed every Christmas.
She is tragically preceded in death only by her namesake grandmother, Arvilla Guard, and grand-golden retriever, Luke. She is survived by parents Diane and Marvin; siblings Chuck, Rhonda, and Helen and their families; and children Paige and husband Collin and Chad and partner Cait.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 16th at her parents' home in Metamora, MI. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations in her name to Give Kids the World Village.
