Arvie Jean Griffin, 78, Montverde, passed away January 29, 2013 at South Lake Hospital. She was born June 16, 1934 in Van, TX the only child of Lillie M. Webster & Orville Phillips. She was a homemaker and local resident since 1960 from Dallas, TX. She was of Baptist faith and former member of American Business Women's Association. Her first husband Charles A. Franklin preceded her in death. On December 28, 1974 she was united in marriage to Leon L. Griffin in Orlando. Surviving is her husband Leon; children Shirley Wimberley, Branford, FL; Dwayne (Ginger) Franklin, Casselberry; Allison Slayton, Ashford, AL & Lee Griffin, Brandon, FL; grandchildren Bryan, Cari , Michael, Brittney, Lindsey, Kalin & Travis; great-grandchildren Morgan, Jamie, Ashlynn, Payton, Makayla, Alex & Wyatt.



The funeral service for Jean Griffin will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, February 2, 2013 in the Becker Chapel. Reverend Dr. Walt Fowler will officiate.
