Arvid Robert Johnson, Jr. (Arvid) was born on February 13,1957, in Monroe, Georgia to Arvid Robert Johnson and Esther Johnson. He grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina and Buford, Georgia. He was a 1976 graduate of North Gwinnett High School. He came to Florida in 1979 to help his Grandfather Robert (Bob) Johnson in his restaurant called Bob’s Rainbow Restaurant in Mascotte, Florida. Later, he worked for Walt Disney World Company first as a Custodial Host and then Merchandise Stocker. He retired from there after 32 years of service. He went home to be with his Lord on Friday, April 17, 2026, in Orlando, Florida, and was Charismatic in faith.

Arvid enjoyed many things in his retirement and was always busy with something. In fact, he became like Eeyore if he didn’t have something to do. He could fix almost anything. He was especially interested in Bible study, scripture songs, playing piano, woodworking, solving Sudoku puzzles, working with electronics, yardwork, and maintaining his home.

He is survived by his wife of 44 years Jane Johnson of Clermont, Florida, his son Paul E. (Kimberly) Johnson of Groveland, Florida, Grandsons Tyler (Salayeh), Eric, Matthew, Great grandson Braylen all of Groveland, Florida; mother Esther Johnson, brothers Steven E. (Linda) Johnson of Groveland, Florida and Gary E. (Zully) Johnson of Clermont, Florida. Brothers in law Kenneth (Marie) Tolan of Buford, Georgia and Richard (Sheila) Tolan of Demorest, Georgia. Also, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, May 3 at 3 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery. Afterward there will be a celebration of life at South Lake Church of Christ.
