Arthur Lawrence Greenberg, 83, Clermont, passed away March14, 2013 at Florida Hospital Orlando. He was born March 28, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY son of Bessie Tendler & Benjamin Greenberg. He served in the US Navy for four years piloting PBY rescue missions during the Korean Conflict, earning the Navy Cross, followed by fourteen years in the Naval Reserve. He held membership in several veteran organizations. On December 8, 1984 he was united in marriage to Carol Cullinan Taylor in Boca Raton and was a local resident since 2001 moving from Vero Beach where he was employed in various positions at Flight Safety. Surviving is his wife Carol. Children: Debra (Richard) Samuels, Lexington, MA; George (Wendy) Greenberg, West Lake Village, CA; Peter Greenberg, Los Angeles, CA; Diane Vore, Delray Beach, FL; Karen (Thomas) Endre, Orlando; Terry (Peter) Levecque, Westbrook, ME; John Taylor, Brick, NJ & Linda (Edward) Blanchard, Carrollton, GA; 17 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren; sister Blanche Hamerschlag, Manhattan, NY; brother-in-law Steven (Susan) Cullinan, Westbrook, ME; several nieces & nephews and countless friends throughout United States.
The memorial service for Art Greenberg will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, March 18, 2013 in the Becker Chapel. Rabbi Steven Cardonic will officiate.
