Armand B. Coutu, Sr.

Armand Coutu was born in Somerville, MA, the last survivor of 5 children. He served as Bombardier Navigator in the Army Air Corps during WWII until the formation of the US Air Force. He then served a year in Korea and was NCOIC for the Strategic Air Command in Amarillo AFB, Texas and Eglin AFB, FL. He was chosen the Air Force SAC NCOIC of the Year. He retired from the AF in 1966 as a Chief Master Sergeant and filled his retirement years with a life-long passion for stamp collecting.
After 24 years of military service, Armand earned his Master's degree in Counseling from Troy University. He volunteered with the Crisis Line, VA and VFW and spent 30 years as Marriage and Family Therapist.
Armand was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
His survivors include his wife Helen, his daughters Diana Chalender (David) and Donna Allgood, and his son Armand Jr. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Jason (Amanda), Aaron, (Susan) and Laura (Jason) and by Troy and Trent and great- grandchildren Skyler, Elton, Alexander and Hillary and a great-great grandson who will be born in November.
Mr. Coutu will be cremated and his ashes interred at the Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
