Arie Lee Godwin, age 89, Minneola, passed away March 2, 2015 at the Mike Conley Hospice House. She was born January 25, 1926 in Tuscanooga, FL daughter of Rhoda Lee Wilson & Walter Scott Merritt. A lifelong area resident, she was owner/operator of Aries Beauty Shop in Minneola and was a member of Tuscanooga Baptist Church & Eastern Star. In addition to her husband Thomas Godwin, she was preceded in death by her siblings Curtis Merritt, Bernice Merritt, Kermit, Bill Merritt, Pete Merritt & Myrtle Thomas. Surviving are her siblings Jack Merritt, Mascotte; Vera Beach, Leesburg & Hazel Fowler, Clermont; The funeral service for Arie Godwin will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, March 6, 2015 at the graveside in Tuscanooga Cemetery.
