Arcesio Cardona, 90 years old, known by all who loved him as "Checho", of Clermont, Florida passed away peacefully in his home on May 9th. He was surrounded in his final moments by his family; daughter Martha, Lucy, niece Gloria and her husband Fred. He was born on November 25th, 1932 in Armenia Quindio, Colombia to Ancizar & Celia Cardona-Mejia.

Checho was a kind, jovial, generous and gentle man who loved spending time with his family and friends. He was a devoted husband, father, and playful grandfather, who was extraordinarily blessed to have known his great-grandchildren.

He will always be remembered for his smile, mischievous sense of humor, light-hearted pranks and as our family's eternal "Life of the Party".

Checho was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Fanny Cardona Anzola in 2019; and sadly by his sons: Allan Cardona (2012), Mario H. Cardona (2019), and Julian Cardona (2021). He was survived by his remaining children, Martha I Brand, and Jorge Cardona.

A funeral mass will be held Wednesday, May 24, 2023, 1pm at Blessed Sacrament Church. Checho will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Prayers for the repose of his soul are appreciated.
