Anthony Olson Ramcharitar, 68, passed away on Tuesday October 31st, 2023 at his home in Tampa FL. Anthony whom everyone called "Tony" and best referred to by his siblings as "Bob" or "Bobby" was born in the town of Montrose Chaguanas, Trinidad on August 18th, 1955.

He was an MBA candidate at the University of South Florida. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Baruch College; had a minor concentration in Economics and Mortgage Banking, and departmental minors in Spanish and French. He was an underwriter for the bank and certified in FICB.

A student of the monks at Mount Saint Benedicts Abbey, he was an avid lifelong learner of the arts and sciences. He loved playing the piano and guitar and enjoyed experimenting with his Chemistry set in his laboratory.

He was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother and uncle. He is survived by his wife of 45 years, daughters, grandchildren and siblings. To all who knew him he was an admirable, loyal and an overall remarkable person that loved to joke a lot. He was a firm believer that laughter conquers all sorrows.

He was a scholar and high achiever that beamed with pride, always aiming to be at the top of the lists. He migrated to the United States and made sure that his children secured a good education and prestigious careers, continuously encouraging them to do their best, as any good father would do.

He will be missed dearly by his wife Shami who has been at his side throughout all the challenges of his illness. Anthony unconditionally loved and adored his three daughters. He proudly spoke with admiration about his 13 grandchildren and often joked that, "that is my blood".

As a devout Catholic, he believed that if he ever made it to Our Lady of Lourdes in France, he would have been healed. His faith in the lord consoled him and brought him to be at peace.

Without a doubt, he is looking down on all his loved ones. All who loved and admired him will miss his presence, wisdom, laughter, comforting words, advice, silly jokes and his pure love. We find comfort knowing his soul is with the Lord. Rest in Peace our beautiful, handsome loving daddy.

A Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, November 8, 2023, 11am, at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Clermont.  Interment will follow at Greenwood Cemetery in Groveland.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 8, 2023, from 9am until 10:30am at Becker Funeral Home.
