Angela Lombardo Kerwin was born on March 13, 1947 in Rochester, New York to the late James and Helen Lombardo.She was known as Ange to those near and dear to her. She graduated in 1965  from Ben Franklin High School in Rochester. Ange received her Masters Degree in elementary education in 1970 from Brockport College. She spent the next 30 years as a highly respected and much loved teacher of mostly first graders at Jefferson Avenue Elementary School in Fairport, NY.
Ange met Jerry(Gerald) Kerwin in 1968. They were married in 1971 and later moved to Fairport. They happily traveled around the country, mostly by car, and saw many of the sites from Maine to Hawaii to Vegas and Florida.They visited relatives on many of their trips, which were especially frequent in her 20 years of retirement.
In addition to traveling, Ange loved to knit, especially for her grandkids, who meant so much to her. She enjoyed crosswords, reading, bowling in her early years,and  lunching with her friends. She also looked forward to the casinos from Las Vegas to Connecticut. She always stuck to her predetermined budget but loved when she went home a little richer.
Ange leaves behind her husband, Jerry Kerwin, Clermont, Florida and Fairport, New York;  her two sisters, Barbara (Larry) Matrese, Fairport, NY; and Bonnie (Jim) Cravotta, Rochester, NY. She also leaves behind her son and daughter-in-law Shawn Kerwin and Chrissy Solis and their children: Allie, Maddie,Jon , Matthew and Emory, all of Clermont, Florida. She also left behind a host of grieving nieces and nephews, cousins, extended relatives and beloved friends.
To our great loss she passed away on November 22, 2024 after bravely fighting serious illness for several years.
