Alva "Joan" Longworth, 78, Clermont, passed away November 28, 2011 at the Mike Conley Hospice House. She was born August 31, 1933 in Cumberland, MD daughter of Alvin Pearce & Audrey Moses Pearce. On March 17, 1952 she was united in marriage to Milton Edward "Bud" Longworth in Rockville, MD. A central Florida resident since 1968 from Clinton, MD, she was a clerk for the Orange County Courthouse and former member of Powers Drive Baptist Church. Surviving is her husband Bud; children Terry Lee (Wendy) Longworth, Eustis; Linda Kay (Bill) Reynolds, Mount Dora; Kim Ann (George) Engilis, Clermont & Greg Scott (Ann) Longworth, California, MD; 9 grandchildren & 5 great-grandchildren.



The memorial service for Joan Longworth will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, December 2, 2011 in the Becker Chapel. Reverend Dr. Jerald Hicks will officiate. Inurnment will follow in Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service.
