Althea was born on September 13, 1967, in Georgetown, British Guyana, to loving parents
Randolph and Megan Ogle. She was the eldest of two daughters and, from the beginning,
brought joy, light, and laughter into her family's life.

Her educational journey began in New York, where she attended P.S. 156 in Laurelton,
Queens, and St. Clare Catholic Academy in Rosedale, Queens. She went on to
Springfield Gardens High School before her parents decided to move their daughters to
Maryland for new opportunities and experiences. There, Althea continued her studies at
Elkton High School, where she proudly graduated. She later furthered her education at
Delaware State University in Dover, Delaware.

As her parents continued to ensure their daughters were exposed to new environments, the
family eventually settled in Florida. It was there that Althea experienced one of her greatest
blessings, the birth of her son, Rashawn Pierre Arnoux.
From the moment he arrived, Rashawn became the center of her world, and Althea
embraced motherhood with all her heart.

Throughout her life, Althea worked with dedication and resilience. She served in
Administration at the Department of Corrections in Pine Hills, Florida, where she
remained for nearly a decade. Seeking a new path, she transitioned into the banking
industry with SunTrust Bank (now Truist). Through her commitment, hard work, and
leadership, she rose into management—a role in which she excelled and remained
steadfast, building lasting relationships with both colleagues and clients. In addition to her
banking career, Althea pursued her passion for real estate, serving as a part-time Realtor
with Realty Professionals of Florida for 13 years. She was proud of helping individuals
and families find homes, making dreams a reality.

Guided by strong family values, Althea also poured her energy into creating lasting
connections that would span generations. In 2001, she founded the Gibson Ogle
Benjamin Family Reunion, which began in Port St. Lucie, Florida, with just 10–15 loved
ones gathered. Under her vision and leadership, the reunion evolved into a cherished
tradition, traveling to many cities and attracting over 100 family members. This legacy of
unity, togetherness, and love remains one of her greatest gifts to her family.
Althea will forever be remembered for her radiant smile, her generous spirit, her ability to
light up a room, and the unconditional love she gave to her family and friends. She leaves
behind cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know
her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Randolph and Megan Ogle. She is survived
by her devoted son Rashawn Pierre Arnoux, her sister Denise Smith (Brian), and will be
truly missed by her grandchildren Vinnerriyah Arnoux, Milan Arnoux and Tristan
Prophete; her nephews Derrick Campbell, Larry Smith, and Brian Jr.; and her niece
Nakia Smith. Her uncle Hutton "Buvelle" Ogle, Her uncle Ivelaw Gibson (Jean), Her aunt
Carol "Pinkey" John Ogle, Her Cousins; Laverne Mensah (George), Carolyn Gibson,
Michelle Meeks (Sam), Bernadette Davis, Clairmont John, Leland, John, Bobbie John,
Allister John, Shandell Ogle and Chanel Ogle. She also leaves behind a host of Special
Close Friends who loved her dearly.

The family will receive friends Saturday, October 4, 2025 from 1pm until 4pm.

A Poem Just for YOU

As a Mother, you had a son,
That's the day your life begun.
Rashawn was the name that you picked,
Your bond and relationship was so thick.
The peace, joy and love you brought to his life
Will always dwell in his heart for the rest of his life.
Your son carries all you taught,
In every word, in every thought.

As a Daughter, loyal, kind, and true,
A shining light your parents knew.
The bond of love will never sever,
Their spirit with you, now and forever.
You honored them in all that you did,
With love so deep it will always live

As a Sister, a friend through every tide,
With you, no joy or sorrow could hide.
Together in laughter, together in tears,
Sharing life's moments through all the years.
A bond of love, both strong and true,
Forever connected, me and you.

As a Special Friend, you stood with care,
A faithful heart, always there.
Through every joy, through every test,
You gave your all, you gave your best.
The gift of friendship, rare and bright,
Will warm our hearts both day and night.

In every role, in every part,
You lived with kindness, strength, and heart.
Though gone from sight, your spirit stays,
A guiding light through all our days.
