Obituary
Allen Gene Lake, 55, passed peacefully on May 11, 2017, surrounded by his family. He was born and raised in Ann Arbor, Michigan and spent most of his adult life in Massachusetts and Florida. Allen lived an adventurous life, full of love, music and laughter. His magnetic personality touched every person he met and his heart was too big to be contained.
Allen is survived by his loving wife and soulmate that he met at "50 years old", Carla; his daughters: Angela Mathew and her son, Logan, Amber Lee and her son Miles, Joanna and Desiree. He also leaves his father, Gene Lake and step-mother Jenny Lake. He was preceded in death by his mother, Janet Lake. He leaves his brothers, Alan and Bart and sister Sherri and their spouses and children. Also h is lifelong brother by choice, Rob Wagner and his family. He leaves countless friends and family members that made him who he was.
Following a tragic accident leaving Allen paralized four years ago, he found peace with himself and with God. He expressed to his family and friends that he knew what waited for him in Heaven. Real Life of Clermont was "His" church. Allen traded in his legs for wings. Playing his guitar, singing from his soul and riding his Harley into the Sunset. Our Spirit in the Sky....
A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at 10:00 am at the Real Life Christian Church, 1501 Steve's Road, Clermont, FL 34711. In lieu of flowers, donations will support the Spine Research Fund. Checks may be made to "University of Michigan" and sent to Medical Development, 1000 Oakbrook, Suite 100, Ann Arbor, MI 48104.
