Alexander L. Gulacsy, 87, Clermont, FL passed away February 5, 2013 at the Mike Conley Hospice House. He was born June 22, 1925 in Budapest, Hungary son of Barbara Schwartz & Andrew Gulacsy. On April 9, 1950 he was united in marriage to Katalin Szasz in Budapest, leaving Hungary in 1956 for Belgium after the revolution, immigrating to Cincinnati, OH in 1959 where he & Katalin raised their family. In 1987 they relocated to Cape Coral and finally to Clermont in 2004. A proud Hungarian, he was member of and former vice president of Florida Hungarian Liberty Club in Plant City, certified with the coast guard as a boat captain, and attended Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. His three brothers preceded him in death. Surviving is his wife Katalin; daughters & their spouses Kathy & Glenn Clausen, Orlando & Sue & Brian Brose, Hinsdale, IL; grandchildren David Alexander, Daniel Franklin, Katherine Susane & Michael William; great-grandchildren Siena, Sara, Justin & twins William & Evan.



Mass of the Resurrection for Alexander Gulacsy will be held at 11:30 AM on Friday, February 8, 2013 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 720 12th Street, Clermont, FL, celebrated by The Very Reverend Robert Webster.  Visitation will be for one hour prior to the mass at the church. Inurnment will be at a later date in Hillsboro Memorial Gardens in Brandon, FL.
