Obituary
Mr. Albert Erving Fogle, 74, quietly slept away Sunday, January 31, 2016, in Orlando Regional Medical Center Hospice.
Mr. Al Fogle, a native of Clermont, FL and a graduate of the Class of 1958 from Carver Heights High School in Leesburg, was noted for his long history of public service. His public and professional services spanned more than 50 years including a myriad of accolades, recognitions and certifications. Some of Al's noteworthy accomplishments included:
Appointment to the Lake-Sumter Community College District Board of Trusteed and it was noted that Mr. Fogle, as member of the District Board of Trustee, would provide a much needed viewpoint for the South Lake Area. Al served in the Lake Sumter Community College Board from 1987 to 1993 and was elected and served as Vice Chairman during 1989-1990 and elected and served as chair of the District Board of Trustees during 1990-1991 and 1991-1992.
Other certifications, teaching certificates and recognitions accomplished by Al included:
Inaugural minority Policeman for the City of Clermont, earned a teaching certificate as Certified Instructor in Vocational Training and Supervision, completed programs in Administration, Supervision and Security with the Department of Law Enforcement, completed programs with the Commission on Criminal Justice and Training, Completed the Human Diversity Institute, Instructor Certification in Fire Arm Instruction and Range Master, certified Florida Department of Corrections Academy along with numerous other certifications and recognitions.
Memorial Services will be held on February 13, 2016 at 11:00am at the First United Methodist Church of Eustis, 600 S. Grove Street, Eustis, FL 32726.
