Obituary

Gabby passed away peacefully at his home in Clermont, FL with his wife, Faith at his side.

Originally from Elizabeth, Indiana, Gabby served in the U.S. Army and reserves from February 4, 1959 thru February 3, 1965.

Gabby loved the outdoors and his ranch, his dogs and horses and especially his Kabota tractor.  In the late 80's he was a member of the Lake County Line Saddle Club.  He was also a member of the Masonic Temple and International Shriners, serving as the President of the Shriners Horse Patrol.  He and his parade horse "Dixie" traveled around the country.  Gabby was also one of the founding members of the South Lake Kiwanis Club, twice serving as club president and serving as Lieutenant Governor for this Kiwanis District.  He was a member of Real Life Christian Church.

Gabby is survived by his wife of 26 years, Faith; three children, Sandra K. Nikolow-Smith from Highlandville, MO, Randal Evans Monroe and his wife Mary of Litchfield, NH and David Andrew "Andy" Monroe and his wife Jenny from Loxahatchee, FL.  He has eight grandchildren and one sadly preceded him in death.  He is also survived by sixteen great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.  Further surviving include two step brothers, John Rowlett and his wife Barbra from Ft. Wayne, IN and Joseph Rowlett and his wife Brenda from Middletown, IN.
