July 8, 1931 – March 18, 2025
Alan Seagrave Sr. 93, passed away peacefully with family by his side on March 18, 2025 in Clermont Florida. Pre-deceased by his wife of 67 years Helen (Bicknell) Seagrave, daughter Deborah Bailey. He was the son of Florence and Reginald Seagrave.
Alan is survived by his children, Brenda Seagrave-Whittle (Shelly) of Clermont FL, Alan C.Seagrave Jr. (Susan ) of Somers, CT, John Seagrave (Eileen) of Laconia NH, and Julie (Marc) Arnone of Somers, CT along with fifteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He is also survived by a sister, Ruby Seagrave-Smith of Melbourne, FL.
Alan was born and raised in Uxbridge, MA. Graduating in 1949, he served four years in the United States Navy. Upon completing his service, he made his home in Enfield, CT. He was employed by Pratt & Whitney, while attending The University of Connecticut. He owned and operated Somerville Appliances Inc., facilitated operations at Stowe Machine Co, and held the title of Vice President of Facilities at Johnson Memorial Hospital. After retiring from JMH Alan was an active and constant force in All Phase Enterprises Inc. In 1954, he became a mason and was a member of the Salomon Lodge of Uxbridge MA, then went on to become a loyal devoted member of the Melha Shrine of Springfield, MA where he thoroughly enjoyed 37 years of playing saxophone in the Military bands. Most recently Alan enjoyed spending time with his loving family at his home in Clermont, FL
A memorial service is being planned and will be held at the convenience of the family.
