Ajeet Singh Kang, age 82, passed away in peace with family and friends at his side on Wednesday, December 5, 2018 at Cornerstone Hospice in Clermont, Florida.  He was born on August 13. 1936 is Rajasthan, India to his mother Pritpal Kaur Kang and father Inder Singh Kang.  He was residing in his home in Clermont, Florida.  Formerly from suburban Detroit, Michigan and Kansas City, Missouri, Ajeet retired as an executive Vice Present of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City.

He is survived by his wife of 55 years Gurcharan (Niki) Kaur Kang; daughters Parminder (Pam) Kaur Kang and Amrita (Rita) Kaur Kang; and his three grandchildren Sonya Sandhu, Ronveer Sandhu and Vikram Aulakh.

Ajeet was a graduate of Khalsa College, India and Punjab University, India.  He was a captain in the Indian ROTC and was captain and coach of his college field hockey teams.  He began his career as a physics professor in India, before immigrating to the United States with his wife Gurcharan.  He received his second master's degree in Industrial Engineering from Wayne State University, in Detroit.  He started as an analyst for Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Michigan and became a manager and director in the company, before serving as an executive at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City.  Ajeet dedicated his service and volunteer time to the March of Dimes, Easter Seals Society and Boys and Girls Club of America.

Ajeet was an avid golfer, nature lover and cards player.  Services will be held at the Becker Funeral Home in Clermont, Florida.
