Abraham Cooperman, 92, of Clermont, FL, passed away on May 9, 2017 at the Mike Conley Hospice House in Clermont, FL. Born on July 4, 1924 in the Bronx, NY to the proud parents of Isaac & Celia (Goldburg) Cooperman, Abraham was a retired clothing manufacturer for the H. Colter Co. He and his wife moved to Clermont in 1997, coming from Boca Raton, FL. He was a former Shriner and a U.S Air Force Veteran, who flew 23 missions in WWII. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife, Gloria and his survivors include his three sons: Bruce Cooperman of Birmingham, AL, Wayne Cooperman of San Antonio, TX and Alan Cooperman of Clermont, FL; his sister, Frances Lempel of New York, NY; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's & Dementia Resource Center, 1506 Lake Highland Drive, Orlando, FL 32803. A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, May 16, 2017 at Becker Funeral Home in Clermont, FL and Inurnment Services will be performed at 2:30 PM Tuesday at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL following his service.
