Do I have to pay for my funeral
in advance in order to pre-arrange?
Although funding your funeral in advance is a wise consideration
you do not have to fund your pre-arrangement in order to have
your wishes in our advance planning files.
Why should I consider
paying for my funeral in advance?
If you choose to fund your funeral in advance, we have plans
that will assure your family that they will not pay one cent
more for the service and merchandise you select. The service
and merchandise you select will be "locked-in" at
today's cost.
Do I have to pay for my funeral
in full in order to "lock-in" today's prices?
Although funding your service with one advance payment would
be the most convenient, we do offer many payment plans to
choose from. Even with our economical payment plans your original
cost is "locked-in". If there were a balance on
the account at the time of need your family would simply be
responsible for that amount.
Where does my money go
when I make an advance payment?
Depending on the type of payment plan you choose your pre-paid
monies will be placed in a special Funeral Trust or placed
with an Insurance Provider who only provides policies written
through funeral homes for the purpose of Advance Planning.
Is my money safe?
Will it be there when my family needs it?
Regardless of which payment plan fits your needs your Advance
Plannign contract is regulated by the Florida Department of
Banking and Finance at 1-800-323-2627.
Can any funeral home accept money
for Advance Planning?
A funeral home must obtain a Certificate of Authority from
the Department of Banking and Finance in order to accept funds
for pre-arranged funerals. Only after observing strict guidelinks
and successfully completing a thorough financial investigation
will a funeral home receive the authorization from the Stae
of Florida to accept monies for Advance Planning.
Do I have to come to the funeral home
to make Advance Plans?
Although most people who make advance plans prefer to come
to the funeral home, an Advance Planning Professional will
be glad to visit you at your home when possible. We are very
proud of our establishment and welcome visitors. At the funeral
home you can make your selections by actually seeing the merchandise
you select and not from a book or catalog as with a home visit.
Our prices are also available by phone.
I only want cremation.
Can I still pre-plan and pre-pay?
Absolutely. Although most creamations are preceded by a visitation
and funeral service or a service of rememberance (memorial
service) if you choose to have a direct cremation without
services you can still pre-arrange and pre-fund your wishes.
If I have paid Becker Family Funeral Home
for cremation and I die out of State, what happens?
We offer a world-wide protection plan that assures your family
that cremation will take place at no additional cost to them...
no matter where you are. Your Advance Planning Professional
will explain the details in full.
Is the travel protection plan just for
cremation?
The travel protection plan is not only intended to protect
those who select cremation but it is a great comfort to those
who select a more traditional type of service. The plan provides
complete care of the mortal remains and its return to the
place of services at no additional cost. This alone may save
hundreds of dollars.
What if after our visit I choose not to
pre-arrange or pre-pay? Perhaps I just want to gather information
and prices before deciding. You know, shop around.
We welcome the opportunity to share our advance planning programs
with you. The information is free and you are under no obligation.
