Elsie D. Crider

Elsie was born in Volga, WV, to Warwick and Maggie (Lantz) Karickhoff. She married Oscar Dick Crider on March 19, 1940 and they moved to Greenville, OH. Elsie retired from FRAM Corporation and she and Dick moved to Tavares, FL in 1971. Her husband preceded her in death on July 25, 2004.
Surviving are 3 children, Larry W. Crider and wife Emma of Greenville, OH, Pat Hopkins of Minneola, FL and Richard, Ric, L. Crider of Celina, OH. She is also survived by 6 grandchildren, John A. Crider, Denise (Crider) Hajjar, Tonya (Crider) Boatwright, Linda Newbauer, G. David Goffinet, Melissa Hopkins of Groveland, FL and 12 great grandchildren.
Elsie was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Audra Kincaid, Roxie Simons and Virginia Keller. She is survived by 5 siblings, Snow Dear Ward, Earl Karickhoff, Tula Curkendall, Oneita Powers, Deloris Smith and a nephew, Donnie Kincaid, raised by her parents.
Elsie was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church of Eustis, FL. She was very proud of her loving family and looked forward to the family reunion each year in Century, WV, where over 100 relatives and friends reunited in family love. Elsie was a blessing to family and all that knew her. Elsie was known for her gentle ways and ability to get along with everyone. She loved beyond measure and was loved even more. We thank God for her and we are comforted that she is having the most joyous reunion in heaven with loved ones gone before. And she will welcome us home one day. What a day of rejoicing that will be!
