Our fondest memories of Howie were his annual 4th of July parties at his home in Moira, NY. When you arrived, he took your keys and it was 3 days of party harty. If you knew what was good for you, you would immediately jump in the pool otherwise Howie would find you and throw you in. Howie and Greg worked together for Combined Life Insurance Co. for a number of years. We lost track of Howie after he left the North Country, but never lost the many wonderful memories we have of times spent together. Rest in peace Howie.

I just learned of Howie's passing moments ago. I worked with him from 1975-1983 and learned many things from Howie that I still apply today. He even introduced me to the two-man Jamaican bobsled team at his home (in Moira, NY) when he became their coach. Howie touched many people's lives in a positive way. May he rest in peace. I extend my condolences to his family.
