Kathy, I am so very sad to learn of Dave's passing. I too worked with him at Fisher-Price as his Administrative Assistant. He was a great boss and an awesome man.

Kathy and Family, I worked for Dave years ago at Fisher-Price in Industrial Engineering. I have many fond and unique memories of him. Also, all the beautiful department Christmas parties you guys used to host in OP. I am so very sorry to finally learn of his passing, I knew he struggled with Alzheimers which also runs in my family (my mom and dad). I can appreciate how difficult his final years were for you, it is heart wrenching to watch someone go through that. I am sending you many prayers of love and peace. I was just talking with former F-P co-workers and Dave's name came up so I googled to find you all...and stumbled instead upon this page. Shocked and saddened by this but I rejoice that Dave has now found his own peace. God Bless your family!

-Karla and I have you Kathleen, Shannon, Erin, Mick and your families in our prayers. Fond memories of long card games at the house in Orlando, Super Bowl parties and memorable stories about the infamous potato guns rocked our memories. Plus all those wonderful trips to the local Mexican restaurant! God took his child home and now he is resting in peace. God Bless

Kathleen, I'm sorry that I never had the opportunity to have met your husband. My condolences on your loss. As I read his obituary, I was struck by how much he and I have in common, and that we might have been friends, had the stars been better aligned. We are the same age, both graduates in engineering from ISU, and probably passed on campus many times. I'm saddened at your loss.

". . . and the greatest of these is love." And you have carried the love of all of us with you to heaven. I love you, Dave.

All my prayers go out to you Kathy, Shannon, Michael and Erin. I am grateful to have so many great memories of Dave and your entire family from my childhood. I'll always remember being allowed to try riding Dave's nifty red motorcycle on Autumn Ridge...and years later, -a special Halpin tour of Frank Lloyd Wright's Darwin Martin House in Buffalo! Who knew that I would end up creating my own family there one day. I'm so grateful to have had Kathy and Dave stay with us here a few years back while visiting. I hope that all of the Vitka love transcending the years and coming your way across the miles helps ease this difficult time. We love you all!

Our deepest sympathy to Kathy, Mike, Shannon and Erin and all the Halpin family. Our hearts are heavy that we can't be there with you at this most difficult time. Dave was a true and caring friend who will not be forgotten. We have so many wonderful memories to look back on and remember the "Dave" we knew and loved and take comfort in knowing he is suffering no more and with God. Prayers and much love to all. John & Marie
