Charles is a lifelong resident of Florida. Born in Ft. Lauderdale,
FL he moved with his parents to Clermont in 1984. He is a graduate
of Clermont High School the Class of 1991. Following graduation
he served in the United States Marine Corps, serving for two years
in Japan. After being offered a chance to follow in his fathers
path, Charles came back to Clermont and attended St. Petersburg
Junior College Funeral Service Program, graduating in 2000.
Charles is involved in many civic functions, including
the South Lake Chamber of Commerce, the Clermont Kiwanis Club, where
he serves as the South Lake High School Key Club advisor, charter
member of the South Lake Chapter of the Marine Corps League Detachment;
the National Funeral Directors Association; the Independent Funeral
Directors of Florida and is a past member of the City of Clermont
Parks and Recreation Board.
Charles is married to Amy and lives in Clermont.
Rolland E. "Ron" Becker
Director, Owner
Ron was born in Leetonia, OH and moved to Ft. Lauderdale,
FL in the 40's where Ron attended the public schools. When he finished
with his schooling in Ft. Lauderdale, he enlisted in the United
States Marine Corps and served his country during the Korean War.
After serving his country he played professional baseball before
an injury ended this. Following this he graduated from the Dallas
Institute of Mortuary Science, Dallas, TX. He opened Becker Funeral
Home in Deerfield Beach in 1972 and eventually opened Becker Funeral
Home in Clermont in 1984.
Ron has taken an active part in the civic affairs
of the city in which he resides for the last 40 years. He is a member
of the First United Methodist Church of Clermont and has served
on its many boards. He is a past president and director of the South
Lake Chamber of Commerce. Ron has been an active Kiwanis member
since 1961 serving in many of the various offices locally and on
the Division and District levels. He is a past Lt. Governor, past
President, a holder of the Hixson award, the Ralph Davis award and
has over 45 years of perfect attendance. Ron is also a member and
past Commandant of the South Lake Chapter of the Marine Corps League;
Subic Bay Marine Association; Clermont Masonic Lodge, Bahia Shrine
Temple of Orlando; Lake County Shrine Club; past Commander of the
American Legion; South Lake Foundation; Independent Funeral Directors
of Florida and the National Funeral Directors Association.
Ron is married to Marcy and has four children.
