About Us

Charles J. Becker

President, Director, Owner

Charles is a lifelong resident of Florida. Born in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida he moved with his parents to Clermont in 1984. He is a graduate of Clermont High School the Class of 1991. Following graduation he served in the United States Marine Corps, serving for two years in Japan and another 2 years at Camp Lejeune, NC. After being offered a chance to follow in his father's path, Charles came back to Clermont and attended St. Petersburg Junior College Funeral Service Program, graduating in 2000.

Charles is involved in many civic functions, including the South Lake Chamber of Commerce, the Clermont Kiwanis Club, charter member of the South Lake Chapter of the Marine Corps League Detachment; the National Funeral Directors Association; the Independent Funeral Directors of Florida and is a past member of the City of Clermont Parks and Recreation Board. In his spare time he enjoys cycling and competing in triathlons.

Charles is married to Amy and they have a daughter, Lilia.



Rolland E. "Ron" Becker

Director, Owner

Ron was born in Leetonia, OH and moved to Ft. Lauderdale, FL in the 40's where Ron attended the public schools. When he finished with his schooling in Ft. Lauderdale, he enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and served his country during the Korean War. After serving his country he played professional baseball before an injury ended this. Following this he graduated from the Dallas Institute of Mortuary Science, Dallas, TX. He opened Becker Funeral Home in Deerfield Beach in 1972 and eventually opened Becker Funeral Home in Clermont in 1984.

Ron has taken an active part in the civic affairs of the city in which he resides for the last 40 years. He is a member of the First United Methodist Church of Clermont and has served on its many boards. He is a past president and director of the South Lake Chamber of Commerce. Ron has been an active Kiwanis member since 1961 serving in many of the various offices locally and on the Division and District levels. He is a past Lt. Governor, past President, a holder of the Hixson award, the Ralph Davis award and has over 45 years of perfect attendance. Ron is also a member and past Commandant of the South Lake Chapter of the Marine Corps League; Subic Bay Marine Association; Clermont Masonic Lodge, Bahia Shrine Temple of Orlando; Lake County Shrine Club; past Commander of the American Legion; South Lake Foundation; Independent Funeral Directors of Florida and the National Funeral Directors Association. He was honored as the Clermont Citizen of the Year in 2006.

Ron is married to Marcy and has four children, 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.



Steven Stipanovich

Funeral Director

A native of Michiganís Upper Peninsula, Steve, has been a resident of Florida since 1988 after relocating from Marquette with his wife Tammy. They enjoy their visits home, the beach, kayaking, biking, their yard and their cats Nadia, Daisy & Baby.

Steve's association with Becker Funeral Home began in 1988 in Deerfield Beach while he was attending Miami-Dade Community College where he received his AS in Funeral Service. Upon completion, in 1989, Ron Becker invited Steve & Tammy to relocate to Clermont where they have resided since.

He is past-president of the Central Florida Funeral Directors Association, member NFDA & FFDA, Clermont-Minneola Lions Club and former board member Lakeview Hills Community Association.

Professionalism, attention to detail, respect & dignity are Steve's hallmarks to his profession.



Kaye Stewart

Office Administrator

Kaye was born in Camp Lejeune, North Carolina while her father was serving in the United States Marine Corps. She moved to the Clermont area soon after birth where her mother's side of the family has been for many generations. Having moved away to the Atlanta and St. Louis areas she has always returned to central Florida considering it to be "home". She likes traveling, the beach, being outdoors, most any kind of sports and spending time with family and friends.

Her association with Becker Funeral Home began in 2004 joining her son-in-law Charles Becker and his parents Ron and Marcy Becker in their family business after working in the transportation and safety industry for over 15 years.

She has 3 children and 3 grandchildren.
